  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) — Among today’s most popular forms of psychotherapy, CBT can be very successful in the treatment of anxiety and depression, often preventing the need for medication. CBT identifies and seeks to alter behaviours that stem from unhelpful thought patterns. In this way, the patient learns new coping mechanisms.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) — This form of therapy is effective in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It seeks to stop the patient from “reliving” traumatic events, so they can remember the incident without feeling the intense pain or upset they associate with it.
